Discovering the mathematics of intelligence in all it's forms

Welcome to Paperclip. I’ll be investigating intelligence in all its forms, from organs to organisms to organizations.

There’s no single field of study that investigates all of intelligence, so I intend for this blog to sprawl over all sorts of topics. I find mathematics to be a great unifying language for grounded exploration, so I’ll be using it heavily to tie everything together into a nice, tidy picture. If you’re averse to math because you think it’s about lifeless numbers, then I think you’ll be surprised at just how rich and semantic some mathematical studies can be.

I plan to bounce back and forth between breadth and depth. Some posts will try to stir intuition, while others will try to refine it. I might include an occasional recap post as an organizational tool so I don’t rehash topics or lose sight of the bigger picture.
